Opening hours
Worthing Crematorium's reception is open strictly by appointment only from 9am to 4:30pm, Monday to Friday (except bank holidays). Please contact us on 01903 872678 if you wish to come and see our staff. The Crematorium grounds and memorial gardens are open as normal.
Christmas and New Year opening hours
Bereavement Services would like to wish you all a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!
The Worthing Crematorium office and chapels will be open the following times over the Christmas and New Year period.
Bold text shows days closed or with different hours to normal:
- Monday 22nd December 2025: 9am to 4:30pm
- Tuesday 23rd December 2025: 9am to 4:30pm
- Wednesday 24th December 2025: 9am to 3pm
- Thursday 25th December 2025: Christmas Day: Closed
- Friday 26th December 2025: Boxing Day: Closed
- Saturday 27th December 2025: Closed
- Sunday 28th December 2025: Closed
- Monday 29th December 2025: 9am to 4:30pm
- Tuesday 30th December 2025: 9am to 4:30pm
- Wednesday 31st 2025: 9am to 3pm
- Thursday 1st January 2026: New Year's Day: Closed
- Friday 2nd January 2026: 9am to 4:30pm
- Saturday 3rd January 2026: Closed
- Sunday 4th January 2026: Closed
- Back to normal hours on:
Monday 5th January 2026: 9am to 4:30pm
Note:
- These 'closed' times relate only to the Crematorium Office and Chapels
- The Remembrance Room is open:
- 9am to 5pm (open weekdays)
- 10am to 4pm at weekends and bank holidays
- The Memorial Gardens are open throughout

Worthing Crematorium, Memorial Gardens and the Remembrance Cross at Christmas
Worthing Crematorium is pleased to announce that the painted Remembrance Cross on the lawn outside the Muntham Chapel entrance is now in place. The cross is to enable family and friends to place their floral tributes for loved ones at Christmas.
There is no need to contact the office or make any special arrangements, the memorial garden and grounds are open to the public at all times.
The Hall of Remembrance which houses the Book of Remembrance is open all week from around 9am to 5pm.
We look forward to welcoming you here soon.
(The Remembrance Cross will be removed on 8th January 2026).

Enquiries Office
The enquiries office is open from 9am to 4:30pm, Monday to Friday (except bank holidays).

Remembrance Room, flower preparation room and disabled toilets
The Remembrance room, flower preparation room and toilets are open from:
- 9:00am to 5:00pm weekdays and
- 10:00am to 4:00pm at weekends and Bank Holidays
If you find the Remembrance Room locked during normal opening times please go to the enquiries office and a member of staff will open the room.

Parking
Car parking is available, free of charge, all year round.
Vehicles are left at the owners risk - the council will accept no responsibility for any damage, vandalism or theft.
Please be aware that thieves operate in the area. Do not leave personal items on display in your vehicle and always lock it when you leave.
